North Carolina Tar heels swimming



Two swimmers from UNC Chapel Hill are competing at  the 2011 world university games. The two swimmers are Stephanie Peacock and Tyler Harris. They have both gotten a bronze metal .The university games are open to all athletes between the ages of 17 to 28 that have not been out of college for more than a year. The games aren’t only swimming they also compete in basketball, fencing, football, gymnastics, judo, swimming, diving, water polo, table tennis, tennis, volleyball.



Another swimmer named David MacDonald is the first UNC swimmer to ever go to the Olympic trials for the 2012 Olympics he’s not going for long course swimming he’s going for diving. Trials will be held June 18-24, 2012 at the Weyerhaeuser Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash or King county Washington.
